It happened on Thursday, April 4 in Island Park, according to Nassau County Police.
At approximately 12:30 a.m. that morning, 23-year-old Danny Susi reportedly got into an argument with a 53-year-old man at a home in Island Park.
The argument escalated, with Susi pulling out a knife and threatening the victim. He then fled the scene, intentionally damaging the home’s door on his way.
Officers found Susi, who is from Hewlett, nearby and he was placed under arrest before being taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
No injuries were reported.
Susi is charged with the following:
- Attempted assault;
- Menacing;
- Criminal mischief; and
- Criminal possession of a weapon.
He is scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday, April 4 at Hempstead’s First District Court.
